CREIDSYRUP is a co-product from the manufacture of Irish whiskey. It comprises mainly of yeast cells and residues from malted barley after alcohol is distilled off the fermented wort by high temperature in copper stills.

Dairy Cows Can be fed in diet feeders, concentrated mixes or bail feeders with maximum levels being 3.5 to 5kg/hd/day

Beef Cattle Cattle Flexible in the way it may be offered, maximum feed rates: Young stock 0-1kg/hd/day Stores 2-3kg/hd/day Finisher 4-5kg/hd/day

Suckler Cattle Has successfully been used as the sole ‘concentrate’ feed for in-calf suckler cows on a straw diet. Additional energy may be required after calving

Sheep Unless specifically recommended, it should not be used in sheep diets because of the risk of copper toxicity

Handling & Storage

As with other liquid products, Creidsyrup is delivered in bulk liquid tankers. Tanks should be built to hold and dispatch bulk liquids and care should be taken to ensure they are cleaned out regularly to prevent a build-up of sediment. 4 inch diameter pipework is adequate.
